We have many habits that we take for granted, so much so that we don't realize they are habits at all. Small changes in ways of doing things that you bring back from places you visit can make big differences to how you enjoy your life at home, making you always feel like you're always on vacation, or that you never left that country at all.
The easiest way of reminding yourself about the trips you have taken is to literally bring something back with you! Whether big or small, including something representative (to you) of the places you visit will help you remember the experiences you had there.
Food have a tantalizing way of reminding you of the past. Even just tip-toeing out of your food comfort zone can reward you with tastes and combinations that you never expected, but can easily incorporate into a more daily routine. In highly processed food societies, we tend to forget the beautiful simplicity of wholesome ingredients.
